I love a party, especially a themed one. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE my birthday. For the past 10 or so years I have been hosting long weekends for my birthday weekend and it is a time I cherish. Every year is a little different but I do have a few mandatory things - Great Outfits, my 3 best friends, and tons of laughing.

In the past few years, my love for food and hosting has grown. I have made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot of tricks over the years. This is the first party I hosted in our new home and it was a dream come true.

Even though I love to cook, I have found from experience, it is very hard to cook & entertain while being present. This year I hired The Home Kitchen to help me with the cocktails and dinner. They did a fantastic job- If you are in the Connecticut area I would highly recommend them.

I was so excited to try something new - I decided to design and create all of the graphics for the evening. Months ago I started searching on Pinterest. I then looked back at a trip we took to Positano a few years ago for inspiration. To create the menu, place cards, and cocktail list I used Canva.
